Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Schedule

Evening shifts vary: 9am-9pm, 12pm-12am, 1pm-1am. 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks.

Assignment Details

20 beds in the Emergency Department.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current RN license
• A minimum of 2 years of recent emergency department RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification or obtain within 18 months of hire or transfer
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification or obtain within 18 months of hire or transfer

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care using a professional practice model
• Conduct patient assessments and recognize health issues
• Create and implement care plans
• Assess patient responses and secure patient travel
• Assist patients with their healthcare needs and prevent issues
• Follow the nursing practice act and delegate tasks appropriately
